Richard L. Chapman, 64, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his home.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family for his grandson Tyler’s education.
He was born on December 13, 1950 in Davenport, the son of Russell & Ruth (Griest) Chapman. In earlier years, Richard was employed in the Sanitation Department for the City of Davenport.
He enjoyed collecting watches and idolized his beloved grandson, Tyler.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Michelle Chapman of Davenport; his grandson, Tyler Fleming; his sister, Mary (Richard) Brabson of Bloomington, Illinois; and his brother, Raymond Chapman of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Chapman; his brothers, Russell Chapman and Robert Chapman; his nephew, Bradley Chapman; and his parents.
