Virginia K. “Ginny” Fullmer, of LeClaire, Iowa, died Friday, January 19, 2018 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 26, 2018 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire. Memorials may be made to the family.
Virginia was born August 23, 1943 in Centerville, Iowa, a daughter of John & Dorothy (Williams) Silknitter, Sr. She was united in marriage to James W. “Bill” Fullmer, Sr. on November 13, 1971 in Moline, Illinois.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Bill; her daughters and sons, Annette Fullmer of Davenport, Theresa (Dale) Gimm of Davenport, Cathie Boyer of Bettendorf, Vickie Fullmer (Bob Russell) of Davenport, John (Donna) Fullmer of LeClaire, James (Una) Fullmer, Jr. of Branson, Missouri, Carmen Kilburne of Davenport, KayLynn Fullmer of LeClaire, and a special great-granddaughter, A’Miyah Fullmer, Wally (Lexie) Fullmer of Davenport; a special daughter, Virginia M. Fullmer of Davenport; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Gloria (Keith) Ahrens of Davenport, Ava (Tom) Terhune of North Carolina and Wilford Fullmer of LeClaire; a special sister-in-law, Evelyn Fullmer of Milan, Illinois; her Brothers & Sisters in Christ, Lee (Leora) McMahon of Moline and Jane (Bob) Peppermeyer of Rock Island, Illinois; and many special aunts and uncles.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Debbora Brownfield and Ellen Mitchell; her sister, Barbara Moody; and her brothers, John Silknitter, Jr. and Michael Silknitter.
