Warren Pillard

Warren J. Pillard, 66, a resident of Eldridge, Iowa died on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his home after a battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, May 9th at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge.  Memorials may be made to the family.

He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on January 2, 1956, the son of Paul S. and Elma Grace (Smith) Pillard.  On October 11, 2012, he was united in marriage to Theresa S. Story in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Warren retired in 2012 from Servus Rubber (now Honeywell) in Rock Island, Illinois where he had been employed for 38 years.  Following his retirement, he worked for 3 years at Roof Top Sedums, LLC in Davenport.

In his spare time, he loved to pitch horseshoes, enjoyed canoeing and reserved every Thursday for “Boy’s Night” with his close and special friends.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Theresa; his daughters, Amber Pillard of Davenport, Nikole (Drew) Lacher of Donahue, Iowa and Shanna (Mike) Paulsen of Davenport; his son, Tyler Story of Eldridge; his grandchildren, Selena, Lucas, Landon, Kaylee, Ryenne, Brooklyn, Hayden, John and Gracie; his great-grandchildren, Maverick and Mersadie; his brothers, Allan (Dawn) Pillard of Princeton, Iowa, Kevin Pillard of Eldridge and Duane Pillard of Princeton; and many other relatives and friends.

His parents preceded him in death.
