Adam Nicholas Sines, 20, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at his home.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3775 Middle Rd. in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born in Waterloo, Iowa on May 7, 1988, the beloved son of Ron & Trudi (Kuhnle) Sines and was a 2007 graduate of Bettendorf High School.
Adam was employed as a resident assistant and in earlier years, as a desk clerk at the Abbey in Bettendorf
He loved music and was an accomplished bass guitarist. His tender heart and caring attitude towards others will always be remembered. Adam loved to make people laugh with his quirky sense of humor. Whether he was playing computer games, engaged in a game of Frisbee golf or spending time with friends in the youth group at Our Savior Lutheran Church, he enjoyed life to the fullest and will always be fondly remembered by those who knew & loved him.
Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Ron & Trudi Sines of Bettendorf; his sister, Reon (Jared) Sheaff of Kirksville, Missouri; his brothers, Eric Sines of Newnan, Georgia and Ryan (Pam) Sines of Port Washington, Wisconsin; his aunts & uncles, Syb & J.D. Zikuda of Atlantic, Iowa, Dick Sines of Waterloo, Randy Sines of Shell Rock, Iowa and Judy (Sam) Chapman of Nashville, Tennessee; and the family’s beloved Yorkie, “Duke.”
Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art & Mildred Sines and Fred & Dorothea Kuhnle; his aunt, Bonnie Sines; and his aunt & uncle, Carolyn & Kenny Thome.
