Agnes I. Vrooman, 99, formerly of Bettendorf, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Crest Health Center,
Davenport. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Ridgecrest Village Chapel in Davenport. Gravesite services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday at Olin Cemetery in Olin, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Foundation Koning Fund, 4130 Northwest Blvd., Davenport, IA, 52806.

Agnes was born December 11, 1905 in Grundy
County, Iowa, the daughter of William & Edith (Stubbs) Boyer. On June 20, 1941, she was united in marriage to Howard Vrooman in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded herin death in October 1988.
Agnes was a teacher in rural Iowa schools before teaching at Lincoln School in Davenport for 13 years. She was active in the Retired Teachers Association, Plus 60 Club of the Quad-Cities, the American Legion Auxiliary of Olin, and Asbury United Methodist Church.
Those left to honor her memory include her sister Elma Horst, Davenport; her daughters and sons-in-law, Jean & Richard Prud'homme, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Donna & Jack Linden, Prescott,Arizona; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was precededin death by her parents and by two brothers, Virgil and Lowell.
