Alice L. Lord, 74, of Davenport, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alice was born December 25, 1932 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd & Vivian (Nichols) Leedom. She was united in marriage to John W. “Jack” Lord on November 5, 1949 in Ottumwa. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2000.
Alice was primarily a homemaker in later years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing and was a fan of the Chicago Bears.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Hodgson, of Rock Island, Illinois; her son, Terry Lord, of Davenport; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sisters Colleen Shewry, of Ottumwa and Judy (Danny) Ramirez, of Columbus, Ohio; her brother Mike (Donna) Leedom, of Rock Island; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Jack, she was preceded in death by her son, John in 1995.
