Alma Madeline Tillberg

Funeral services for Alma Madeline Tillberg, 86, of Moline, formerly of Davenport, will be 11:00 am on Monday, March 4, 2024 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island. Family will greet friends on Monday from 10:00 am to service time at the funeral home.  

Alma passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehab, East Moline, IL.  

Alma Prine was born on June 10, 1937, in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Ersell and Ellen (Wilson) Prine. She married Richard Hough in 1953 in Moline, IL. She then married Donald R. Tillberg on May 15, 1982. He preceded her in death on March14, 2015.  She worked for a short period of time at Short Hills Country Club, East Moline. She enjoyed lawn care, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Terry (Evelyn) Hough of Des Moines, Washington and Barb (David) Blunt of Moline; stepchildren, Lissa Berhenke of Rock Island and Donald Robert Tillberg, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, a son-in-law Doug Howard of Donie, TX, sisters, Beulah Essary of Davenport, Lois Woods of Carbon Cliff, IL, and Faye Chapman of Farmersville, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Shirley Howard, grandsons, Richard Hough and Casey Hough, brothers, Basil Prine, Jerry Prine, Daniel Prine, sisters, Sally Paul, Opal Johnson and Joyce Lootens.
