Alta Badtram

Alta Badtram, 88, a former resident of Eldridge, Iowa, passed away Saturday December 7, 2013 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.

A memorial gathering for Alta and Harry will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, Saturday December 14, 2013, at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge, Iowa.  Graveside service will follow immediately after at Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.  Memorials may be made to American Lung Association.

Alta was born February 10, 1925 in Scott County, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Hilda (Kluever) Ewoldt.  She united in marriage to Harry Badtram on January 12, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa.  He preceded her in death February 22, 2013.  Alta enjoyed her occupation as a homemaker taking care of her four children, and later spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include her daughters, Mary (Richard) Feldpausch, DeWitt, Iowa and Joann (Leonard) Bullock, Bettendorf; her sons, Harold (Donna) Badtram, West Burlington, Iowa and Roy (Deb Burk) Badtram, Donahue, Iowa; her grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Feldpausch, Karen (Dominic) Hogan, Teresa (Brent) Perry, Koen Symens, Wendy Zaiss, Paul Badtram, Michael Badtram, Brian Klein, Kevin (Kim) Klein, Ashley Badtram, Cyndi Badtram, Todd Bullock, Mark (Kristine) Bullock, Kyle Bullock, Tara Bullock and Tia Bullock; her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Adele and Clarie Hogan, Abby, Nick and Will Feldpausch, Lucas,Hannah, and Ryan Perry, Alex, Arron and Matthew Zaiss, Jaydon Badtram, Kaleb Klein, Brianna Archambault, and William Bullock; her brother Kenneth (Mary Jo) Ewoldt, Delmar, Iowa; her brother-in-law Edward Badtram; her sister-in-laws Lori Ewoldt, Shirley Ewoldt, Frances Ewoldt, and Mildred Badtram Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry; her parents; her sisters Caroline Backstrom and Erma Plambeck; her brothers Orrie, Harvey, Lester, Donald, Waldo, Otto; and her granddaughter Ann Feldpausch-Symens.
