Alvin Robert Kingsbury, 77, a longtime resident of Marshalltown, Iowa died on Tuesday, May 03, 2011 at the Bickford Cottage in Davenport, Iowa.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Marshalltown Public Library. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alvin was born on June 3, 1933 in Marshalltown, the son of Leonard & Helen (Cooper) Kingsbury.
Those left to honor his memory include his nephew, Tom Beeks of LeClaire, Iowa and his nieces, Claudia Anderson of Kodiak, Alaska and Mary VanHorn of Greeneville, Tennessee.
His parents and his sister, Kathryn Beeks preceded him in death.
