Anita Vanblaricome

Anita Jean VanBlaricome, 82, of Davenport, died Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Davenport Lutheran Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on May 19, 1934 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa, the daughter of John and Lena Chapin. On October 18, 1952, she married Richard VanBlaricome. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2016.
Anita worked for Ralston-Purina in Davenport as a machine operator for 15 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the casino and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Anita was a member of Risen Christ Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her sons, Jamey (Jerri) VanBlaricome of Davenport and Scott (Jo) VanBlaricome of Moline; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tom; one sister and one brother.
