Ann W. Klopp, 62, a resident of Princeton, Iowa, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus in Davenport following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Bettendorf, where she was a loyal member. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Princeton. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 3, 2003 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Ann was born March 17, 1941 in Evanston, Illinois the daughter of Donald S. & Carol (Collier) Warning. She was united in marriage to Cal M. Klopp on August 24, 1963 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ann was a graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in child development.
Ann was the former secretary at Pleasant View Baptist Church and found great joy in serving God. She was active in women’s programs at the church and was also an active part of area Walk To Emmaus, Cursillo and JOY Ministries.
She enjoyed volunteering at Bettendorf’s American Cancer Society Discovery Shop and was a Befriender at Genesis East Medical Center. Ann expressed her creativity with a variety of artistic projects and loved to sing. She shared her gift of hospitality, opening her home and enjoying meals, laughter, and joy with her family and friends.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Cal; her daughters & son-in-law, Diana & Jeff Fassett of Tucson, Arizona and Jana Klopp of Davenport; her son, Daniel Klopp who is a student at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas; her step-mother, Mary E. Warning of Lehigh, Florida and her mother-in-law, Ruby Klopp of Center Point, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristin; her infant son, Jon; her parents; her brothers, Don and Bobby; and her aunt, Margaret Warning.
