Anna Ilean Stark, 89, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in Pleasant Valley.
A Funeral to celebrate her life will be held at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Noon. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at McGinnis-Chambers. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire following the funeral. Memorial donations may be made in Ilean’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Born on November 20, 1926 in Ira, Missouri to Weldie and Lydia (Eidson) Shadrick, Ilean grew up in the Ozark foothills. On February 11, 1951, she married her dear Cleland J. “Teet” Stark in Lebanon, Missouri.
Ilean was a homemaker, and home gardener who loved her daily coffee at Pelo’s, playing nickel slots and traveling with her children. She adored every minute spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Wade) Argo of Coal Valley, Illinois; her sons, Steve (Marcia) Stark of Jackson, Tennessee and Rick (Judith) Stark of East Moline, Illinois; grandchildren, Kara (David) Rupp, Jeff (Joy) Stark, Jade (Crystal) McLaughlin, and Caleb Argo; great-grandchildren, Logun and Trent Rupp, and Connor Argo; and her sisters, Glada Petty and Sharion Ney.
Ilean was preceded in death by her husband, “Teet”; her parents; her sister, Lorene Cantrell; and her brothers, Olan and Owen Shadrick.
