Annabelle Jane Cullinane, 97, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Manor Care Utica Ridge.

She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born March 9, 1914 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of James L. & Anna (Hanson) Deyo. On June 29, 1934, she was united in marriage to Joseph Vincent Cullinane at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 15, 1982.

Annabelle was employed as a sales clerk at the Petersen Harned Von Maur and at Younkers. In earlier years, she also worked at the McGinnis Funeral Home as a hostess & greeter for eight years.

She was active as a school volunteer, was a member & past-president of the American Legion Auxillary of Bettendorf and was a former member of the Davenport Moose.

Annabelle enjoyed roller and ice skating, playing golf, swimming and caring for her beloved grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Maryanne Cullinane of Iowa City, Iowa, Nancy (James) Glawe of Davenport and Kathy Cullinane of Davenport with whom Annabelle resided; her grandchildren, David Glawe, Jane Glawe, M.D., Brent Starkey & Bruce Starkey; her great-grandchildren, Jordan Starkey, Erin Starkey, Nicholas Starkey & Samantha Starkey; her sister, Joan (Bob) Claussen of Sherrard, Illinois and her beloved little dog, “Bo.”

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Cora Valentine and Ruby Crum; her brother, Frank Deyo and her infant brother, James Deyo.
