Anne Collins, 73, of Buffalo, Iowa, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at Trinity Muscatine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Davenport. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 2 nd at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo. Memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus/St. Peter’s Catholic Church or the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department.
Anne was born October 29, 1938 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Russell & Inez (Foster) Forbes. She was united in marriage to Don Collins. He preceded her in death.
Anne was employed at Buffalo Savings Bank. She also sold Avon.
She enjoyed shopping, her cats and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne & Gerard Koch of Winfield, Missouri and Karen & Steve Davis of Buffalo; her sons and daughters-in-law, Brian Collins, Rusty Collins of Buffalo, Donnie II & Cris Collins of Buffalo and Allen & Mindy Collins of Buffalo; fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Don, Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Louise McKibbin and Edna Rauch.
