Annie H. Rose, 87, of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 2, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the church.
Annie was born April 17, 1920 in Hopkinton, Iowa, the daughter of Curtis & Maude (Vesey) Grigg. She was a graduate of Buck Creek High School in Buck Creek, Iowa in 1938.
She was united in marriage to Ronald S. Beitz in Hopkinton in 1938. She was later united in marriage to Lloyd C. Rose in Davenport in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1986
Annie was retired as a seamstress for the former Davonshire Company in Davenport. She was a member of the East Davenport Turner’s Society and American Business Women. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing articles for her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald & Nelda Beitz, of Bettendorf; her granddaughters, Christi (Neal) Lanning, of Washington, Kathy Arnold, of Round Lake Park, Illinois, Susan (Trent) Holyoak, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Jessica Beitz, of Bettendorf; six great-grandsons; one great-great granddaughter; her sisters, Nettie (Marion) Fredrickson, of Princeton, Illinois, Iris McElmeel, of Earlville, Iowa, Betty Salow, of Earlville, Mona Salow, of Earlville, and Katherine Grigg, of Monticello, Iowa; her special nephew, Stan Hartley; and her special caretaker, Amber Vaughn.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Cornelia Grigg, Ethel Talmadge, and Millie Maxwell; and her brothers, James and William.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Riverview Manor in Pleasant Valley and Genesis Medical Center for all their care and comfort during this time.
