Ann M. Smith

Ann M. Smith, 75, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Monday, November 15, 2004 at her home following an illness.
In accordance with her wishes her body will be cremated. There will be no visitation or service held. Memorials may be made to the Hand-In-Hand Program, 3860 Middle Road, Bettendorf, IA 52722. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ann was born April 18, 1929 in Sheridan County, North Dakota, the daughter of Hilbert & Tillie (Bosche) Schmidt. She was united in marriage to Floyd Smith in Davenport. He preceded her in death.
She was employed as a cleaning lady and bartender. She was a member of the American Turner Society, East Chapter in Davenport. Among the things she enjoyed were crocheting, embroidery, and spending time with her family.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Sandra Sicari of Davenport; her sons, William Patrick McPherson, Michael Terry McPherson, Harold Lee McPherson and Robert Bruce McPherson all of Davenport; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Betty Meyer in Minnesota and Diane Schmidt in North Dakota; her brothers, Arnold Schmidt in Oregon, Palmer Schmidt and Benny Schmidt, both of Turtle Lake, North Dakota and Marvin Schmidt of Bismarck, North Dakota.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dolores Rensch; and by her parents.
