Anthony Tumosa

Anthony J. Tumosa, 61, of Bettendorf, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Bettendorf Healthcare Center in Bettendorf after a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Bettendorf Healthcare Center. Rev. Edith Little will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, Illinois.

Anthony was born May 18, 1956 in Chicago, the son of Stanley & Harriet Tumosa.  During his time at the Bettendorf Healthcare Center, he made many friends, particularly with Dennis and Donna.

Those left to honor Tony’s memory include his son, Joseph Tumosa of Chicago; his grandsons, Joseph & Aaron; a step-son, Walter Ford of Branson, Missouri; the mother of his children, Rose Durham of Davenport; two people he thought of as his children and family, Louisa Bockstedt II of Cedar Rapids, James Middleton IV with his wife Pamela and their children of Davenport; and his beloved lifelong friends, Bob and Marguerite.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Keith.

Tony’s family would like to express special thanks to the staff and nurses of the Bettendorf Healthcare Center and Beacon of Hope Hospice and Rose wishes to thank her friends at MGT New Hope Church in Moline.
