Arlene J. Palmer, 78, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa and formerly of Spring Meadows in Libertyville, Illinois died on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Trinity at Terrace Park Hospital in Bettendorf.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 28, 2008 at the North Shore Garden of Memories Cemetery in North Chicago, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Village Church of Gurnee (IL) or the Alliance for the Mentally Ill. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born November 11, 1929 in Waukegan, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore Christian & Violet Eunice (Youngren) Golwitzer. On December 24, 1947,she was united in marriage to Frank A. Palmer in Waukegan. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Wendy Casillas of Bettendorf, Cheri Rogers of Salt Lake City, Utah and Jodie Cook of McKinney, Texas; her son, Steven Palmer of Chicago, Illinois; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, her sister, Dolores, preceded her in death.
