Arline Heldt Carner, 91, a resident of Bettendorf, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at her home.
As per her wishes services will be private. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Arline was born August 31, 1917, in Mount Joy, Iowa, the daughter of John and Bertha (Lippold) Heldt. She was united in marriage to William James Bill Carner in Princeton, Iowa, on September 6, 1940. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1962. She was later married to Richard Howard Lively on November 13, 1999, in LeClaire. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2008.
Arline worked for 30 years as a broiler chef at Bishops Buffet. She enjoyed embroidering, quilting and baking. She loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Dwain) Ruser, of Davenport, and Nadine (David Wilzback) Jones, of Ohio; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her brother, John, her son, Bill, and her grandson, Todd.
