Ashley N. DeLaney, 23, of Davenport, Iowa, died suddenly on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus in Silvis, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park at a later date.  Memorials may be made to The National Bank at any location as a fund for the family.

Ashley was born April 6, 1987 in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Anthony & Theresa (Deihs) DeLaney.  She was a 2005 graduate of West High School in Davenport.   Ashley was employed at Miss Maria’s Day Care Center and JCPenney in Davenport.

Ashley will be remembered as a brave, focused, giving person who always openly accepted others.  She had immense artistic talent.  Her two favorite activities were spending time with her children, Sammie and Chandler, and engaging in debates with family and friends over the latest issue.

Those left to honor her memory include her parents, Theresa Anderson of Davenport and Anthony & Kate DeLaney, of Fenton, Illinois; her children, Samantha Marie & Chandler Todd Ozmon; her fiancé, Russell Todd Ozmon, of Bettendorf; her step-father, Larry Anderson of Moline; her sisters, Christina DeLaney of Davenport and Amanda Anderson of Moline; her brother, Alex DeLaney of Fenton; her nephew, Aiden Almanza; her grandparents, Dorothy Deihs of Mobile, Alabama, Barbara Corley of Alabama, Walter DeLaney of Mobile, Annette & Earl Anderson of Moline, Joe & Sherry Burden of Muscatine and Candice & Richard Kundert of Erie; and her great-grandparents, Bill & Lois Thomas of Fenton and Dorothy Sharp of Albany, Illinois.

Ashley was preceded in death by some of her grandparents; her great-grandparents; and her fiancé’s mother, Christine Ozmon.
