Barbara Case

Barbara Belle Case, 87, a resident of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at her home in Arizona.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Davenport Police Benevolent Fund.
Barbara was born on July 4, 1928 in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lionel and Eva Mae (Parkin) Bentley. On October 4, 1952 in Davenport, she married William LeRoy Case. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2013.
Barbara worked as a clerk for various stores including Wal-Mart. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts and enjoyed living at Fellowship Square and made many good friends during her time in Arizona. Barbara cherished her time spent with her family.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Linda Christine (Steve) Shafer of Mesa, AZ; two grandchildren, Mike and Matt Shafer; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Grace Shafer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jeffrey William Case and Billy Elvidge; one grandson, Curtis Shafer; and two brothers, James and John Bentley.
