Benjamin Randol

Benjamin H. Randol, 37, a resident of Riverdale, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Trinity Bettendorf.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 12, 2105 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Scott County Special Olympics.

Born on May 24, 1978 in Davenport, Ben was the son of Larry and Marie Randol.

He was a graduate of Bettendorf High School and worked for New Choices, Inc. in Bettendorf. Ben loved music, Legos and home movies. He was an avid fan of the Bettendorf High School Football team but it was the girls’ basketball team that had his heart. With his father at his side the duo attended near and far games together for many years. He was recognized by the team as their “#1 Fan.” With the support of his family and dedicated staff at New Choices, Ben was able to enjoy his two favorite adventures, gadding about town and eating out.  In addition he was a tremendously proud uncle.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Larry and Marie Randol of Riverdale; sister, Melanie Burja; brother-in-law, Radu; nephews, Nic and Luke all of Beavercreek, OH.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Brian.

Many thanks to his support staff at DHS, New Choices and his immediate support staff, Becky, Pam, Dennis and Mary that helped Ben maintain such a nice life.
