Berneda Anderson

Berneda A. “Neda” Anderson, 89, formerly of LeClaire and Princeton, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport.

Private family graveside services will be held at Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire.  Memorials may be directed to the Choir Fund at First Presbyterian Church, LeClaire or to the Buffalo Bill Museum, LeClaire.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Neda was born on October 15, 1933 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Bernard and Marietta (Hanchett) Bennett.  She worked as a nurse’s aide at the former St. Luke’s Hospital in Davenport.  Neda enjoyed knitting and in her younger years, she enjoyed playing the organ and was an accomplished vocalist.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family.  Neda was a member of Princeton Presbyterian Church before moving to LeClaire, where she attended First Presbyterian Church.

Those left to honor her memory are her children, Peggy (Tim Carlson) Warnecke of Eldridge, Iowa and Stephen (Laurie) Anderson of Orlando, Florida; six grandchildren, Erik (Sara) Warnecke, Erin (Andrew) Nilges, Wade (Alison) Warnecke, Connor Anderson, Kailyn Anderson, and William Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Aiden and Jaxson Warnecke, Bennett, Zoey, and Hailey Nilges, and Anna Warnecke; brother-in-law, Richard Sentman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and a niece, Violet Schutters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Joyce (Robert) Kloehr and Jeanne Sentman.
