Berneice E. Fletcher

Berneice E. Fletcher, 93, a resident of Bettendorf, formerly of Princeton and LeClaire, Iowa died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Rosewood Care Center of Moline, Illinois. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service or visitation. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting with arrangements. Berneice was born on May 19, 1915 in Princeton, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Fletcher) Fulton. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, attended Grinnell College and also Iowa State University. She married Vallie Fletcher on July 4, 1935 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2004.
Survivors include her children, Roberta Garman, Fairport, New York, Janet Munro, Dewitt, Iowa, Tom (Lois) Fletcher, Bettendorf, Rich Fletcher, Princeton, Greg (Maureen) Fletcher, Galena, Illinois, Gene (Brenda) Fletcher, St. Charles, Missouri; her grandchildren, Randy (Deb) Munro, K.C. Hildreth, Kristin Hildreth, Jason Fletcher, Trent (Roxie) Fletcher, Jeff (Lizz Peña) Fletcher, Kellie (Jon) Engen, Kevin Fletcher, Bob Fletcher, Andy Fletcher, Lizzie Fletcher; her great-grandchildren, Brent and Blake Munro, Hunter Fletcher, Rylyn and Teagen Fletcher, and her sister, Irene Coffman.
Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vallie, sisters, Celia Lundahl and Ruth Bahr, grandson, Ryan Fletcher and great-grandson, Nathan Engen.
