Betty Bird

Betty L. Bird, 73, of Panorama Park, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Trinity Bettendorf.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19 th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Born on November 11, 1939 in Lebanon, MO, Betty was the daughter of Frank and Georgia (Kelsey) Perry.
Betty owned and operated the Diner Restaurant in downtown Davenport for 15 years. She was a member of Christian Center Church of Davenport. Betty enjoyed fishing, gardening and was an avid bird watcher. She loved her dog, Sassy.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Larry (Kathy) Porter of Panorama Park; her daughters, Rosa Dunscombe of East Moline and Tammy (Chuck) Lund of Panorama Park; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild; and her sister, Shirley (Cleo) Bingham of Bettendorf.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son in infancy; one grandson in infancy; and her brother, George Perry.
