Betty Maxine Clemons, 94, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Those attending should wear a mask and practice social distancing. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire. Family will greet friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m.
Betty Maxine Stewart was born on March 22, 1926 in Princeton, the daughter of Orville and Elaine (Kroeger) Stewart. She married Lester “Wally” Clemons on March 27, 1944 in Princeton. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2016.
Betty worked at LeClaire Manufacturing as a secretary for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Buffalo Bill Museum and First Presbyterian Church in LeClaire, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and puzzles.
Those left to honor her memory are her children; Cindy (Donald) Weber of Princeton, Linda Christner of LeClaire and Debbie (Alan) Corson of LeClaire; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; and her sister, Darlene E. Kucero.
Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in LeClaire.
