Betty J. Nuss, 83, of Henderson, Nevada and formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa died Friday, October 15, 2010 at her home in Nevada.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 A.M., Friday, October 22, 2010 at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Betty was born September 1, 1927 in Bettendorf, the daughter of Fred & Erna (Motzkat) Bowers. She was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Nuss in Rochester, Minnesota in 1952. He preceded her in death in 1993. Betty had been employed as a radio operator for the Bettendorf Police Department in earlier years.
Among those left to honor her memory include her niece, Donna Daniels of Henderson and her nephews, Robert Lindholme of Rock Island, Illinois and Fred Bowers of East Moline, Illinois.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by several sisters & brothers.
