Betty Schutte

Betty Mae Schutte, 66, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Friday, December 26, 2003 at her home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Genesis VNA Hospice.
She was born November 11, 1937 in Davenport, the daughter of Max & Esther (Berner) Korner. She was united in marriage to Donald L. Schutte in Lime Springs, Iowa on March 18, 1953. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1984.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Davenport and the Davenport Moose. She enjoyed the many wonderful times spent with her family and loved to go camping.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter & son-in-law, Janice & Denny Hebert of Bettendorf; her sons & daughters-in-law, Dick & Joanne Schutte, Roger & Lori Schutte and Ronald & Michelle Schutte, all of Davenport; eleven grandchildren; her sister, Irene Byrd of East Moline, Illinois; and her very close & special friend, Marv Jack of Davenport. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Marv for the loving care and concern he showed to their mother these past few years. He will always be considered part of the family.
