Betty J. Schneider

Betty J. Schneider, 84, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa and formerly of LeClaire, Iowa died on Friday, September 17, 2004 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Bettendorf, Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, Illinois or to the Scott County Humane Society.
She was born May 7, 1920 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of William & Edith (Ryan) Prose. On November 24, 1938, she was united in marriage to Edward P. Schneider in Bettendorf. Ed preceded her in death on July 25, 2002.
Betty & Ed owned & operated Schneider’s TV & Appliance Store in Bettendorf for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1980.
In her liesure time she enjoyed playing cards & board games with her many friends and in earlier years, loved to go trout fishing with her husband.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Beverly Noftsker, her daughter, Carole Endorf-Heath & her husband, Steven Heath, all of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Kimberly McDonald & her husband, Bob, Timothy Noftsker & his wife, Linda and Eric Endorf & his wife, Kristi; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Reck; and her brother, Harold Prose.
