Betty Louise Carson

Betty Louise Carson, 78, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Trinity Bettendorf Hospital, Bettendorf.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. till the time of service. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
Betty was born January 7, 1932 in Augusta, Illinois the daughter of Henry J. and Bessie A. (Griffith) Stopp. She was united in marriage to Vaughn A. Carson on July 26, 1952 in Macomb, Illinois.
Betty worked in sales for Avon for 34 years. She was one of the best in her district and won many awards.
She was a charter member of the Avon Collectors Club and a member of the Genesis Arthritis Support Group.
She enjoyed dollhouses, sewing, reading, painting and was an excellent cook. Betty was a very loving wife and constant companion to Vaughn.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Vaughn, Bettendorf, Iowa and their special friends, Jimmy Dean, Moline, Illinois & Family and Jenny Evans, Bettendorf & Family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lee J. Stopp.
