Beulah M. Mildren, 79, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born February 10, 1928 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Charles & Murna Marie (Close) Simms. On March 9, 1945, she was united in marriage to Vernon J. Mildren in Centerville. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2000.
Beulah was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mom, grandma & great-grandma. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, doing embroidery and especially spending time with her beloved family.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Sharon (Richard) Borchers of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Linda (Robert) Roseman of Davenport and LaDonna (Randy) Jensen of Davenport; her sons, Ron (Marsha) Mildren of Clinton, Iowa, Randy (Mary) Mildren of Rock Island, Illinois and Kelly Simms of Mt. Joy, Iowa; eighteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her brothers, Vernon Simms of Geneseo, Illinois and Carl Simms of Leesenburg, Florida; and a special “sister” in-law, Margaret Simms of Davenport.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Marion Simms and Gerald Simms; and her parents.
