Beverly J. Beuse, 78, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jack's Cemetery in LeClaire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.
Bev was born March 30, 1936 in LeClaire, the daughter of Ray and Viola (Kruse) Burkamper. She was united in marriage to Donald L. Beuse on December 21, 1956 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1996.
Bev and Don owned Beuse Pattern Works in LeClaire which was founded in 1967. Making their home along the river, Bev had lived there for over 50 years. “Aunt Bev”, as everyone called her, enjoyed watching clouds, camping, boating, canoeing, snowmobiling and spending time with her family.
She was proud to have held a valid motorcycle license for 40 years. She was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Silver Creek Lodge in LeClaire. Aunt Bev was loving and caring to everyone that knew her.
Those left to honor her memory include her sister Joyce Gass of LeClaire; 15 nieces and nephews; 16 grand nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law Ida Marie Burkamper of LeClaire; and her brother and sister-in-law Jack & Gloria Beuse of Eldridge, Iowa.
In addition to her husband Don, she was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Richard Burkamper; her brothers-in-law, Wayne Gass and Richard Beuse; her sister-in-law Diane Beuse; and her nephew Michael Beuse.
The family would like to express special thanks to Denise Grant for all her time and compassionate care. She made this difficult time a bit easier.
