Beverly M. Brundies, 68, a resident of Bettendorf, died Friday, January 4, 2013 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, 2012 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 P.M. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born on July 25, 1944 in San Rafael, California, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Barth) Grubb. On April 7, 1962 in San Gabriel, California, she married William Brundies.
Beverly was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf. She worked as a supervising cook for California Youth Authority and enjoyed crafts, plants, photography and music of all kinds.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Bill of Bettendorf; two sons, William “Bo” (Latosha) Brundies of Bettendorf and Robert (Roberta) Brundies of Beaumont, California; two daughters, Trudina (Allen) Shafer of Blue Grass, Iowa and Elizabeth (Steve) Davis of Bettendorf; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Joanne Henning, Billie Ishmael, Shelley Ostarello, Vickie Grubb and Cheryl Moniz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, John Sorensen; two brothers, George and Wendell Grubb; and great-grandchildren, Hannah and Landon Houk.
