Beverly Edell

Beverly A. Edell, 84, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Saint Anthony’s Midwest in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23rd at Central Church of Christ, Davenport.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.  Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Bev enjoyed working in her flower bed, so in lieu of flowers the family would like you to plant or purchase flowers in Bev’s memory for your enjoyment.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

Beverly was born on July 31, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Willard and Bertha (Kramer) McGinnis.  On December 10, 1955 she married John Fogarty in Davenport.  She later married Keith Edell on January 4, 1969 in Aledo, Illinois.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughter, Diane (Jerry) Ries of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Craig Ries of Studio City, California and Dayton (Stephanie Madden) Ries of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma; stepson, Keith “Rock” (Kim) Edell Jr. of East Moline, Illinois; stepdaughter, Debbie (Brian) Farber of Milan, Illinois; and many more family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith; and her siblings, James Makin, Darlene Collins, Willard Wayne McGinnis; and one stepson, Steve Edell.
