Beverly Lyons
January 23, 1952 — March 3, 2015
Beverly J. Lyons, 63, a resident of Milan, formerly of Princeton, Iowa, passed away, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Trinity Rock Island.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on January 23, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, Beverly was the daughter of Roy and Virginia (Cook) Harrelson. In August 1999, she married Clayton “Dale” Lane in Moline, Illinois.
Beverly was a homemaker but also had managed the trailer court where she had lived in Shellsburg. She enjoyed genealogy, crocheting and reading. Beverly cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Clayton “Dale” Lane of Princeton; daughters, Tonda (Don) Needham of Hannaford, North Dakota and Lisa (Kevin) Steele of Milan; son, Brian (Heidi) Lyons of Shellsburg, Iowa; step-daughters, Anna Lane and Sonya Wayland, both of Davenport and Melissa Lane of Texas; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Anna Marie Kibbie and Tom Harrelson, both of Shellsburg, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Merle Harrelson and Merlene Naylor.
