Beverly J. Piersall, 74, of Bettendorf, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2015. She passed away unexpectedly at Trinity UnityPoint in Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Calvary Church of the Quad-Cities in Moline, Illinois, where she was a member. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church.
Beverly was born May 7, 1941 in Canton, Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth R. & Ethel (Spencer) Brown of Havana, Illinois. Her father passed away when she was 3 years old and her mother bought Brown’s Grocery Store on Dearborn Street, raising her and her brother, Warren. Her mother married Harry Read of Lincoln, Illinois when Bev was 10.
She graduated from Havana High School and was united in marriage to Wendall W. Piersall on May 31, 1959. They then moved to Bettendorf. She was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for four years and the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center for thirty-seven years. She was a member of Calvary Church since 1997.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Wendall; her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy & David Kunkle of Marion, Iowa; her son, Steven Piersall of Eldridge, Iowa; her grandsons, Derek of Marion and Chris (Samantha) of Muscatine; and her great-grandson, Jack Robert of Muscatine.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Warren.
