Beverly A. Burroughs

Beverly A. Burroughs, 72, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Beverly was born April 16, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Mary (Huskco) Woods. She was united in marriage to Paul Burroughs on November 11, 1953 in Hernando, Mississippi.
Beverly was a homemaker who enjoyed camping, knitting, ceramics, bowling, spending time with her family and loved to sing.
She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Paul Sr.; her daughters, Cheryl Gillespie, Davenport, Iowa, Marilynn (Steve) Stepanek, Davenport, Iowa Lewanna (Larry) Althaus, Moline, Illinois and Connie (Terry) Breen, Oklahoma; her sons, Paul (Pamela) Burroughs Jr., Davenport, Iowa and Kenneth (Pam M.) Burroughs, Davenport, Iowa; her nineteen grandchildren; her twenty-four great-grandchildren; her sister Cathy Olinger, Moline, Illinois; her brothers, Joe (Myra) Woods, Davenport, Iowa and Danny (Angie) Woods, Osborn, Illinois; her dog, Jedi “Baby Boy” and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother and one grandchild.
