Billy F. Barker, 80, of LeClaire, died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2016 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the services on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Billy was born August 17, 1935 in Sikeston, Missouri, the son of Lloyd & Lois (Holmes) Barker. He had retired as a millwright with the Pillsbury Company and was recently employed at Palmer Hills Golf Course in Bettendorf. Billy was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Those left to honor Billy’s memory include his sons, Rick (Lisa) Barker of Colona and Dave Barker of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Mary of Silvis and Kaylynn of Chicago; his sister, Margaret Green of Davenport and Danny Barker of Tennessee.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents.
