Bob was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on October 29, 1942, the third oldest of ten children born to Lawrence & Ethel Lillian (Williams) Dover.  On July 29, 1967, he was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Gail at Grace United Methodist Church in Davenport, Iowa.

He was employed for 24 years at the Sivyer Steel Company of Bettendorf. He then embarked on a new career when he founded, owned & operated, Dover Décor, a painting contracting business.  He took great pride in his work and always went the “extra mile” to please his customers.

Bob was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, loved to play golf and enjoyed fishing with his family & friends.  In earlier years, he was a league bowler and could truly handle a cue around the pool table.  He will always be remembered for his quiet, gentle nature and his memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew & loved him.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Gail; their children, Rob (Theresa) Diedrich of San Diego, Califonia, Cindy (Terry) Gothard of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Jennifer Dover of Davenport; his grandchildren, Jacqueline & Rachel Diedrich and Alex & Nathan Gothard; his sisters, Betty (Harold) Worsham of Keiser, Arkansas, Bonnie (Mack) Fleming of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Caroline (Johnny) Ingram of Natchez, Mississippi and Dyan Crain of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his brothers, Doil (Janice) Dover of Kansas City, Missouri, Jerry (Connie) Dover of Covington,Tennessee, Wayne (Sandra) Dover of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Butch (Mandy) Dover of Covington, Tennessee and Terry (Monika) Dover of Fountain, Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and wonderful friends.

His parents preceded him in death.

Bob’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Infusion Center of Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, Iowa and to Dr. Constantinou and his staff.
