Bobby D. Christy, a resident of Milan, Illinois, formerly of Blue Grass, Iowa died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family.
Bobby was born August 28, 1940 in Crowder, Missouri the son of Lawrence E. and Dollie O. (Jones) Christy. He was united in marriage to Mary J. Farley on April 22,1962 in Bettendorf, Iowa. She preceded him in death in 1974.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Sherry (Terry) Palmer, Davenport, Iowa and Karen Jones, Texas; his grandchildren, Eric, Jami and Jessie; his great-grandchildren, Owen, Kaidence, Bryce and Rylan; his sisters, Judy (Jerry) Hughes, Bettendorf, Iowa and Dedra Christy, Scott City, Missouri and his brother, Jerry (Julie) Christy, Reynolds, Illinois.
Along with his wife, Mary, he was preceded in death by his parents.
