Bonnie J. Hildebrand, 65, of Davenport, died Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31 st and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Thursday, both at the church. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church or Gilda’s Club.
Born on June 22, 1947, Bonnie was the daughter of Homer and Dorothea (Peterson) Clope. On August 15, 1980 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, she married Edwin L. Hildebrand.
Bonnie drove school bus for the Davenport Community School District for five years. She also transported U-Haul trucks from Texas to Minneapolis. Bonnie sold Tupperware and Avon.
Bonnie enjoyed knitting, making slippers, blankets and stockings. She made hats for the John Lewis Coffee Shop. Bonnie loved pets and made her own jewelry. She loved to watch NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Ed of Davenport; three daughters, Julie (Gary) Richardson of Texas, Cindy (Robert) King of Davenport and Bobbie Veloure of Minnesota; nine grandchildren, Kandace, Cody, Branden, Dalton, Marissa, Hannah, Will, Sara and Kellie; two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be very well missed but not forgotten. – From her husband, Eddie.
