Bonnie Ray

Bonnie J. Ray, 79, of LeClaire, Iowa passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Bonnie was born March 14, 1940 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Eddie & Ruth Rebecca (Holton) Nevins.  A devoted homemaker, she enjoyed reading, cooking shows and especially had loved the company of her grandchildren

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Holly (Ray) Maier of Lodi, Wisconsin; her sons, Todd (Linda) Nevins of Hillsdale, Illinois and James Ray Jr. of LeClaire; her grandchildren, Eric, Tara, Amanda, Danielle, Alex, Brice, Tanner and Margaret; seven great-grandchildren; her soulmate of forty-four years, Russ Stock of LeClaire and his children, Chris Johnston of Davenport and Tim Stock of Bettendorf.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Adam; and her sisters, Johnlyn Engstrom, Nancy O’Brien, Dixie Murphy and Martha Hunt.
