Braden Thudium Carvutto, 96, a resident of the Iowa Masonic Health Facility, Bettendorf, Iowa died Monday, May 24, 2004 at the health facility. Interment will be in Pickney, Michigan.
A memorial services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility Community Room. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Braden was born in Sullivan County, Missouri on December 31, 1907, the daughter of Elvis & Fannie Martin. Seven siblings and a granddaughter preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Vern (Jean) Thudium of Bradenton, Florida and Gary (Marcia) Thudium of Wichita, Kansas; a sister, Myrtle Buck of Iowa City, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Richard (Rosalie) Thudium of New Boston, Missouri; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Braden married Orville A. Thudium on February 6, 1926 in Winigan, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1977. Braden married Robert Carvutto on March 27, 1987 and they resided in the Masonic Village in Bettendorf until his death on March 21, 1992.
Her memberships included Asbury United Methodist Church, Bettendorf, the White Shrine of Jerusalem and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was very artistic and was a docent at the Ann Arbor (Michigan) Art Museum.
