Cael Burmeister

Cael David Burmeister, 7 month old son of Greg and Elizabeth (Vens) Burmeister of New Liberty, IA, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.

Cael was born on May 9, 2011 in Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge. Rev. Dr. Arthur Bergren will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 ^th at Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that toys be purchased and donated to a children’s charity in Cael’s name or memorials can be made to the family for donation to a children’s charity.

Cael’s surviving family include his parents, Greg and Elizabeth Burmeister of New Liberty, IA; his sister, Hayden Burmeister at home; paternal grandparents, David and Kay Burmeister of New Liberty, IA and Mark Breeden of Geneseo, IL; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Dennis Hintze of Long Grove, IA and David and Lori Vens of Eldridge, IA; paternal great-grandparents, Edna Hartwig of Lowden, IA and Lee and Dolores Timmerman of Bennett, IA; maternal great-grandparents, Marvin and Doris Hintze of Bettendorf.

Also surviving are his aunts, Tonya and Allen Wiese, Ali Burmeister, Kathy Vens, Sarah and Clint Henzen, Nicole and Kevin Roman; uncles, Chad and Tammy Burmeister, Ty Burmeister, Steven Johnston and Jennifer Lucier, and Matthew & Jessica Hintze; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cael was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Karis Breeden; and great-grandparents, Virgil and Lorene Burmeister, Edwin Hartwig, Wayne and Lucille Drummond, Albert and Geraldine Vens and Robert and MaryAnn Meier.
