Carlie Cristine "Pook" Sheffler

Carlie Cristine “Pook” Sheffler, 15, a resident of Buffalo, Iowa died on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at her home.
A gathering of family & friends will take place from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born November 21, 1994 in Davenport, Iowa, the beloved daughter of Louie Sheffler, Jr. and Lorien Buresh and had recently completed her freshman year at Davenport West High School where she participated in track.
“Pook” will always be remembered for her ability to make others laugh and for the untamable spirit by which she lived her life.
Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Lorien Buresh-Choate of Denver, Colorado; her father & step-mother, Louie & Kelly Sheffler Jr. of Buffalo; her brothers, Jake Sheffler of Geneseo, Illinois, Cody Sheffler and Dalton Sheffler, both of Cordova, Illinois and Ian Choate of Denver; her niece, Brylee Sheffler of Geneseo; her grandparents, Barb & Lou Sheffler Sr. of Colona, Illinois, Terry & Reeda Buresh of Davenport, Linda & Daryl White of Denver and Marie Derrickson of Buffalo; her great-grandparents, Bob & Dorothy Porter in Arizona, David Buresh of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Marjorie Marts, of St. Genevieve, Missouri and Jeanne Dunn, of Holyoke, Colorado; and many other relatives and wonderful friends.
