Carol Lynn Havenhill, 42, a resident of Princeton, Iowa died Friday, December 5, 2003 at her home following an extended illness.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 8, 2003 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf where a prayer service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Additional visiation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home, Tekamah, Nebraska. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Herman Cemetery, Herman, Nebraska. A memorial fund has been established at the Great River Bank & Trust, Princeton.
She was born December 9, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Lloyd G. & Edith M. (Schneider) Hardy. On November 21, 1998, she was united in marriage to Mike E. Havenhill in Princeton.
Carol was a devoted homemaker and foster parent of fifteen children. She served as Co-President of the Scott County Foster Parent Association and President of the Princeton Youth Baseball Association.
She loved being a mother and enjoyed cooking, baking and animals. Her door was always open to anyone & everyone who ever needed help.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Mike; her daughter, Shyanne Havenhill of Princeton; her step-daughters, Amber Havenhill & Ashley Havenhill, both of Princeton; her sons, Tommy Griffith, Justin Havenhill and Timmy Havenhill, all of Princeton; several foster children and their children; her father, Lloyd G. Hardy of Tekamah, Nebraska; her step-father, Gene Geise of Bennington, Nebraska; her sister & brother-in-law, Linda & Earl Bandy of Omaha; and her brother & sister-in-law, John “Brother” & Suzie Hardy of Tekamah, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Geise; her step-mother, Madeline Hardy; her nephew, Dennis Bandy; and her niece, Madeline Bandy.
