Carol Moore

Carol J. Moore, 65, of Davenport, Iowa died Monday, August 18, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services in Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Davenport where she was a member.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport.

Carol was born September 5, 1948 in Davenport, the daughter of Earl & Gertrude (Bonney) Greenwood.  She was an adult crossing guard for the City of Davenport for several years.  Carol enjoyed ceramics, gardening, fishing and attending the Festival of Trees.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Mary Moore; her sons, Kenneth Poe and Chuck and Earl Smith; several grandchildren; her mother, Gertrude Blaise of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; her sisters, Alice Miller of Davenport, Janice (George) Kaucher of Davenport, Evelyn (Charlie) Chatman of Poplar Bluff and Ruth (Jim) Roudebush of Fremont, Missouri; her brother, Robert (Daphne) Blaise of Poplar Bluff; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Gary, of Davenport.

Carol was preceded in death by her father; and her brother, Jimmy Greenwood.
