Carol L. Scharff

July 3, 1940 — April 29, 2024

Carol L. Scharff, 83, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Kahl Home, Davenport.
   
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
   
Carol was born July 3, 1940 in LeClaire, Iowa to James and Geraldine (Conn) Kipper.  In 1958 she graduated from LeClaire High School.  She worked at the Bettendorf Public Library for 10 years before her retirement.  Carol was a former Board Trustee at Bettendorf Optimist Club and past President of Cody PTA.  
   
Those left to honor her memory are her children, Connie Scharff and Alton (Lisa) Scharff II; three grandchildren, Steven Humphrey, Mason Scharff, and Brooklyn Scharff; and siblings, Pat (Bill) Fisher, Kathy Gimm, Von Kipper, and Bill (Eileen) Kipper.
   
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tommi Jo Scharff; and siblings, Richard Kipper, James Kipper Jr., Jan Kipper, Gayle Jackson, and Kurt Kipper.
