Caroline Mary Allsbrow, 82, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, February 22, 2008 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until the time of the services on Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park, Moline, Illinois. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Caroline was born May 29, 1925 in Davenport, the daughter of Roy & Effie (Huggunin) White. She was united in marriage to Ralph E. Allsbrow on June 25, 1947 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2003.
Caroline was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed bowling, reading, shopping and visiting her out-of-state children and grandchildren. She and Ralph were lifelong members of the Northwest Davenport Turner Association.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Scott Steele of Belleville, Illinois; her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Lynne Allsbrow of Thornton, Colorado, Clayton and Jane Allsbrow of Tupelo, Mississippi, and Ken Allsbrow, of Davenport; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She looked forward to the birth of three more great-grandchildren later this year.
In addition to her husband, Ralph, Caroline was preceded in death by her sister, Lois House; and her two brothers, Roy White and Edward White; and three grandchildren.
