Cecil T. Caudle, 80, of Davenport, died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.
Per his request, there will be no services or visitation. Burial will take place at a later date at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Cecil was born May 1, 1931 in Norwood, Missouri, the son of David E. & Rebecca F. (Bennett) Caudle. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Followill in July of 1962.
He had been employed as a roofer for many years, which he enjoyed. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Cecil will also be remembered as an excellent pool player.
Those left to honor his memory include his sons and daughter-in-law, Tom & Maria Caudle, of Buffalo, Iowa; and Leon Caudle, of Texas; his grandchildren, Ryan Caudle & Alexa Berg; his great-grandchildren, Sophia & Ava Caudle; and his sisters, Loretta Hall and Reba Heatherley.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Cecil Caudle; his sisters, Retha Campbell, Redith Weems, Cledith Grey, Genevia Caudle and Delta Weems; and his brothers, Ernest, Everett and Farris Caudle.
